AS9104-1 Transition/Questionnaire

In January 2012 the AS9104/1 document, Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Quality Management System Certification Programs, was published. As this document contains requirements for certification bodies (section 6) and requirements for certified organizations (section 18), PJR highly suggests that you purchase a copy of this document from the SAE, www.sae.org. The list price for non-members is $66.00. Members can obtain the document at a 10-20% discount.

The main page of the OASIS database, http://www.sae.org/?PORTAL_CODE=IAQG, contains a link to SR002, which is the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) Other Party Management Team (OPMT) Supplemental Rule 002 – Rules for 9104-1:2012 Transition. In this free document, there are rules for certification bodies (section 4) and for certified organizations (section 7). This letter focuses on certification body-specific requirement 4.7, which requires PJR to undertake a certification structure analysis for each certified client.
